A true comfort food made healthier with air frying:

Ingredients:

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: paprika or garlic powder for added flavor

Preparation: Peel (if desired) and cut potatoes into evenly sized strips. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch; this step improves crispiness. Drain thoroughly and pat dry.

Cooking: Toss potato strips with oil and seasonings. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Arrange fries in a single layer—work in batches if needed—and cook for about 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through until they are golden brown.

Tips: For extra crispness, double fry small batches—first at lower temperature then at higher heat briefly before serving.
